• Search and Rescue: Supporting Western New York’s Missing and Unidentified Persons Network with aerial search and recovery missions.

• Public Safety Impact: In 2023, thanks to Sheila’s outreach to the City of Tonawanda Police through the National Public Safety Drone Donation Program, the department recognized the enhanced potential of drone technology. They went on to purchase two drones and now have FAA-Certified Remote Pilot officers on staff. The department remains signed up with the donation program for any future opportunities to expand their capabilities.

• Disaster Response: After Hurricane Milton, Sheila traveled through more than 10 towns in Florida conducting roof inspections for insurance documentation of ceramic tile roofs. Using advanced software for precision, she worked to minimize her footprint — including periods of living in her vehicle — in order to leave valuable resources available for displaced residents.

Born and raised in Tonawanda, NY, and a Canisius College alumna, Sheila brings a rich blend of experience to Bugbee Dronography. Her journey includes teaching Special Education in Texas, serving as a public servant in Alaska, and even a unique stint as a Cat Concierge in Vancouver, Washington. These diverse roles fuel Bugbee Dronography’s innovative approach, flexibility, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
